There are several factors that determine how much a new set of brick steps will cost. By answering the following questions you will be able to provide us with all the information we need in order to give you an accurate estimate.
A Are you replacing wooden steps that were provided with the house?
These will require a new footing/foundation.
B Are you replacing broken or crumbling masonry steps? these will be
removed down to grade level. The existing footing/foundation will be
reinforced with concrete and reused.
C Choose your style of steps from the choices below.
D Next determine how many risers your new steps will have. ( A riser is
the face portion of the steps. The picture above has 3 risers.)
Your new steps will have 8 inch high risers. Measure from the door
sill down to the ground and divide that by 8 inches. that will tell you
the number of risers. Any remainder will be the distance from the top
platform up into the door.
E How wide do you want your new steps to be?
