Frequently Asked Questions

How can i determine if my steps are repairable?
Some problems such as a loose brick or stone tread are an easy repair.Other things like small cracks can and should be repaired as soon as possible to prevent water from penetrating the masonry and causing more problems. Once things get to the point where there are sections of the masonry that are crumbling or the mortar between the joints is deteriating that replacement becomes neccessary.

I think my steps are repairable. do you do repairs?
Yes we do step repairs, However it is not feasible for us to travel across the state to give estimates on what could be very minor work. we ask that you send by email a description of the problem and as many pictures as needed to show the repairs. please include your name and address. We will then send you an estimate for repair. We are located in Monmouth county n.j. If we feel the job is too small and too far away we may not accept the job. But at least you will know what it should cost.

I think my steps need to be replaced. what is the procedure?
First go to our pricing page and follow the steps to get our estimate.
Once that is done if you decide to go ahead and hire us to do the work we will set up an appointment and come to your house to double check your measurements and sign contracts. Once the contract is signed we will schedule your job.

Do you supply or install railings?
No. We do not measure for or install new railings. However in some cases if the new steps are exactly the same dimensions as the old and the old railings are in good shape we can reinstall them.

How long will it take to build new steps?
An average size set of steps is 4 or 5 risers 5 feet wide. these would take 2 to 3 days to complete. On day one we bring and unload materials. Then tear down the old steps and load the rubble
on the truck. The next thing we do is reinforce the existing foundation with concrete. Day two is spent building the new steps.
Day three is cleanup.
